Paralympic fencing champion Bebe Vio was born in Venice on March 4, 1997, and raised in Mogliano Veneto. She is the second of three siblings. At the age of 11, Vio contracted a rare form of meningitis that required the amputation of both her arms and legs. Despite this adversity, she went on to become a world-renowned fencer, winning multiple Paralympic medals and inspiring countless others with her story of resilience and determination.
